The Campaign for Safe Cosmetics (also known as the Compact for the Global Production of Safer Health and Beauty Products), is a "coalition working to protect your health by calling for the elimination of chemicals used in the cosmetics industry linked to cancer, birth defects, and other health problems."
Who Is the Coalition?
The coalition consists of women's, public health, labor, environmental health and consumer-rights groups. Their goal is to work toward efforts that will require companies to remove toxic and dangerous chemicals and substances from their products. Currently, there is no regulation for personal care products.
